Biostimulators

🧬 What is collagen and why do we stimulate it?
Collagen is a structural protein that keeps the skin firm, elastic, and youthful.
Starting around age 25–30, natural collagen production gradually decreases, leading to sagging, fine lines, and volume loss.
Biostimulation aims to reactivate fibroblasts (the cells that produce collagen) using various substances or technologies that trigger a controlled regenerative response.
⚙️ How is biostimulation achieved?
-
Injectable biostimulant substances
• Poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra®)
• Calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse®)
• Polycaprolactone (Ellansé®)
• PDRN and growth factors
These are injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous tissue, causing a mild inflammatory response that activates collagen synthesis.
🌿 Benefits of collagen biostimulation:
-
Improved skin firmness and tone
-
Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
-
More hydrated, radiant, and dense skin
-
Progressive and natural rejuvenation
-
Stimulates regeneration from the deeper layers
⏱️ Results and frequency
-
New collagen takes about 4 to 8 weeks to form
-
Results are gradual and long-lasting (up to 12–24 months, depending on the treatment)
-
Typically, 2 to 3 initial sessions are recommended, with annual maintenance
